Life as a Brandtito

Halloween 2014 was a success!!   By that I mean, we've got candy covered for the next 12 months...minimum.               Introducing Dr. Who . I really tried to talk AB into another costume. I mean, this is your ONE night a year to go out in the public in costume...live it up!! But her heart was set on Dr. Who...and so Dr. Who was what she got...complete with the Sonic Screwdriver (THANKS KADY!!). The wig was short lived, but she sported the rest of her costume, jacket and all,  thru the humid Florida evening. She scored some major points with a few fellow nerds Dr. Who fans passing out candy too.             Next up we have the one, the only Taylor Swift ::::the crowd goes wild::::. Halloween is upon us!! I dunno what's scarier...the kids faces in these photos...or the amount of candy they're going to enjoy tonight... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

It's been a busy weekend for the Brandts. My granddad is in the hospital, some of my favorite Missourians are in town, the house is beyond destroyed, and the kids are beyond restless. We squeezed in a little time on Saturday evening to unwind and enjoy some Christmas Spirit at the Milton Christmas Parade.  The kids enjoyed it, mostly for the candy I'm sure.  Please disregard the crazy eyes. I seriously took this picture at least 5 times with no shots ending with eyes open.  I gave up.  The Gav Several of the floats had fake snow...the girls LOVED it Yup. He really did wear that light on his head.... Heaven decided she needed a shot with her eyes closed too :) 

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
