Life as a Brandtito

One of these outfits was self chosen....the other was chosen by Mama...can you guess which is which?                   Happy 4th of July everyone!!  It was a rainy 4th for us Floridians. But with the rain comes cooler temperatures, and I'll take a little wet over sweat any day.   We started the 4th off by sleeping in (which of course still means we were up by 9...) and then cooked out with the Brandt/Simmons clan for lunch. We'd planned to go to the Riverwalk area too take part in the crafts and whatnot but once the girls heard Ava was already at Nana's house...they could not be persuaded to do anything that did not include being with her.   Cousins                  It was overcast and cloudy all day, but we did manage to escape most of the rain. Until the fireworks that is. I'm talking lite...

The catches!      My bestie's birthday is at the end of May & John's is at the begining. What better way to celebrate getting older, than a Salt Water Fishing trip? We started this tradition last year, and it was even better this go round (not throwing up the whole trip really does a lot to pump up the enjoyment level). My 2 favorites + friends, open ocean, & the option to come home with a cooler of fresh fish...sounds like WINNING to me. Big Catch # 1       We didn't bring home as MANY fish this year, but I caught my 2 biggest fish ever!! It started out as a frustrating situation as since we were on a charter the majority of the people on board were strangers. A group who obviously knew the crew of the boat brought their own gear and bait to fish for Amberjack. The problem with that is that Amberjack are famous for weaving...and when you've got a billion lines in the water...weaving creates a major pro...

It’s official. Annabelle Brandt has the most celebrated birthday of all birthdays!! This week, much to Annabelle’s disappointment, we were forced to put an end to the partying….AFTER a few more celebrations of course… This weekend Annabelle had celebrated her birthday party with friends at OOP’S Bowling Alley. She had such a good time & I would highly recommend OOPS to anyone looking for a perfect birthday spot. The kids played in the arcade (with tokens provided by OOPS), had tons of cake and ice cream, and of course got their bowl on. I think everyone had a blast!! Annabelle was definitely enjoying the celebrating as well. She received a very “cool” outfit from Nana & Papa,   Some $ and CANDY from Nana P & Bubs, a target giftcard, some Baby doll toys, a “Password Journal”, some Beyblades and lots more goodies too!
