This Ol' Boy

Happy 1 year!
We went to the IP this weekend in Biloxi to celebrate our anniversary. The original plans had to be replace as my real estate class got canceled and rescheduled in the middle of our plans....SO Biloxi seemed like a fun plan B. Craig Morgan (whom I love) was performing Saturday night, and my stepdad Mark was able to get us some really good seats!! The show was SO good!!

Craig Morgan

We went to the Brazilian Steakhouse inside the IP for a late dinner. It's one of the steakhouses where they walk around with different foods (mainly meat) and you flip your card to green when you want them to bring you something. Surely we could have been stuffed on just the salad bar, but we opted to go all out!! I have never seen so much meat in all my life. I think it was Johns vision of Heaven on earth!! Needless to say, we ate WAY too much! I think I ate my weight in grilled pineapple!

John <3'd the green side...

The next morning we spent some time in the casino and I won $800!!! I screamed with excitement..literally. I won $509 on one machine, John won $300 and then I won another $364!! We planned on spending more time, but everyone knows that kind of beginners luck doesn't happen twice so we decided to get out of there ASAP and head home. We're going to book a cruise with our winnings!

Heck yes!

See ya IP! Thanks for the money!!!

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
