Tis the Season to Wahoo.

The kids have been begging to go to the Winter Wonderland Festival at the Wahoo stadium since it opened up earlier this month. I'd heard mixed reviews, and at $11 each, I wasn't quite sure it would be worth it...the kids however disagreed. The Wahoo's ended up donating free tickets to both Santa Rosa and Escambia County School students & our lovely neighbors donated 2 unneeded to us as well, so we ended up going for FREE!! WAHOOOO!!! :) (<---get it...Wahoo for Wahoo's...give it a minute)

However, if we'd paid $60 for us all to go, I would have been disappointed. The activities were pretty sparse, a few inflatables, a small area of games drawn on the grass (Checkers, Twister, Tic Tac Toe) and of course the main draw, Ice skating. Only it wasn't REALLY ice skating, it was some sort of coated plastic The schedule said there was supposed to be a Christmas movie as well & Santa, but we didn't see either of those. The mini Brandts however really enjoyed it and didn't want to leave (even after they'd done everything at least 5 times). The stadium was decorated very pretty, and if nothing else it was nice to get bundled up and feel "Christmasy" here in Florida!

This is my favorite picture of the night. AB had the most trouble staying upright. Heaven's a natural however. She was so sweet with Annabelle and always stayed close incase she needed a lift up!

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
