Cheap Dates

The mini people headed to Orlando today. Since they will be gone a week, we decided to let the kids have special parent date nights on Saturday. John & Gav went to dinner at Mc Donalds & then had a video game night with Gabe.

Us ladies went to see Willy Wonka at the Pensacola Little Theater.  The girls have been watching the original Willy Wonka to get ready for the show & sang along to many of the songs. It wasn't exactly like the movie of course, but they had a really good time. After the show they got to meet some of the actors and scored themselves their very own "Wonka" candies. This resulted a very detailed car ride conversation about what Annabelle would do should she be the boss of her own chocolate factory. I'm pretty sure, this is Annabelle's dream job. Bottom line, she would share a lot of her candy with her family...but they would also have to visit the fruit and vegetable room so they could stay healthy.  Annabelle was undecided as to whether she herself would visit the healthy room, as she said she'd probably often be too busy.

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
