Making Memories

Annabelle & her 7 favorite stuffed friends

I have a goal this year of starting some new traditions for the kids. I recently started them “memory boxes”. I’m including school projects, crafts, photos, and anything else I think might be noteworthy. I’m hoping to do “birthday packs” for them each year. Since Annabelle had the first birthday, I’m starting with hers. My plan is to write them a note on each birthday, to include mementos from that day (newspapers, magazines…), birthday cards from family and also a mini book of photo’s from their party. I’m going to put each pack into a manilla envelope with the year and then when they’re older I’ll give them all to them.  I like to think down the road they’ll like having something to look back on. I’m also going to do a “photo shoot” with each of them each year around their birthday…because in my opinion, you can never really take too many pictures. Here are a few of my favorites from Annabelle’s 7 year photos. If you have any notes or anything else you’d like to contribute, please let me know.

Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

The Who's Who of Whoville

The girls had their church Christmas Program this weekend. They performed at both morning services and were equally amazing each time around! They've been practicing for the mast few months, and all their hard work most definitely paid off.
