Hey Batter Batter....

The girls have started practice games for softball. So far their team is undefeated. Let me warn you. Their team is TOTALLY stacked. It's nuts. There are 3 players that are non returners from last year, and the Brandito girls are 2 of them. Needless to say they've got lots to learn, but so far, they are up to the challenge! Heaven has gotten 2 game hits so far & AB has made contact, but all her game hits have went foul. We've got plenty of time to practice though and the girls really seem to enjoy it. Heaven told us the other night that she has "found her sport". She also advised she no longer needed batting practice since she's gotten a few game hits. We've told her we're going to keep practicing...just in case.

The Brandt girls both agree is the best part of softball is the team cheers. They have already learned  a billion...and enjoy chanting them when any situation calls for a good cheer. Gavin is not a fan of this.

We don't have our uniforms yet....it sure make them easy to spot

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
