Heinz Love.

There are 3 things you can always find an abundance of in the Brandt household...Love, Prayers, and Heinz ketchup. I was pleased as punch to see Annabelle douse her black eyed peas in ketchup as her seasoning of choice at dinner tonight. I grew up putting ketchup on EVERYTHING. Of course, I usually did this as a method to choke down whatever my mom cooked for dinner, however I'm sure this was not the case for Annabelle :)

Now I am not a grocery snob, infact much to John's displeasure the majority of groceries in our home are the result of a deal of some sort. You wanted Coco Puffs? Oh well because Coco Crisps were BOGO and so close your eyes and pretend they're the same? Oh, you wanted a REAL lunchable? Well tough cookies because Smunchables (or whatever the official off-brand name for lunchables may be) were $10 for $10...and when you're talking circular ham and crackers, well there's really just not a big difference in quality. There are only 3 things I am brand loyal to; Heinz ketchup (because it is far superior to all other ketchups and yes I could select this in a blind taste test. If you choose to buy Hunts ketchup...just know that I secretly think less of you.), Coca-Cola (because if I'm going to wreck my health drinking Soda, I might as well go with a trusty brand...oh and because Coke Zero is my own personal crack) and lastly Hellman's Mayo (because John doesn't ask for much, but he refuses to eat any Mayo that's not Hellman's)...all other groceries though, they're fair game. So here's to Heinz ketchup making dinners of all sorts edible since at least 1983.

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
