Fancy Smancy

I adore the Sanger
Yes....Annabelle is wearing fur.
This weekend myself, one of my beautiful sisters and the lady Brandts went to see The Nutcracker at the Sanger. It is gorgeous, and I'm hopeful that with enough forcing in time the girls will gain my appreciation and love for it. For now, however, they just enjoy the chance to get fancy.

I was a little nervous the girls wouldn't be able to last thru the entire performance, but they did great! Heaven especially enjoyed it. One of their fellow Girl Scouts was an angel in the production, which they were especially impressed with. We sat with some of the Brownie memebers in the audience.

Next time however, I will definitely read The Nutcracker before we go as it has been years since I've heard the story. There were parts in the second half that I had to stretch to explain to the girls. I need to brush up on my interpretive dance.
Lovely Ladies

Me and my Beautiful Sis Mikey

We finished off the night with a visit to TCBY since the girls were so well behaved. (and because I'm obsessed with frozen greek yogurt)

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
