Weekend Updates

Here are a few weekend shots. We didn't do too much this weekend. Annabelle had soccer practice on Saturday and returned home with the Johnson boys who spent the rest of the day blessing us with their company. It was too many boys for me so I did some shopping and sushi with my lovely girlfriends.
                                                                        Kingsley has it rough.

This is how I feel when I don't get to sleep in....

We also started working on our dance moves for SSDI's Family night coming up on Oct 3rd. It's 80's themed, and the girls have already started wearing me out with outfit visions. They also have been wearing me out over how long ago they act like the 80's occurred. Per the girls, at Family Night, the students and parents will do some dances together, so we've already began our instruction (as we would just hate to embarrass the kids with our dance moves...bahahahah!!)

Annabelle doing "The Hussle" which I'm pretty sure didn't actually happen in the 80's.

Heaven's doing "Boogie Wonderland"...again...not thinking this is 80's either...also they apparently do this 37 times in a row...#literally

Heaven showing off her early birthday present from Nana P and Bubs
We also kicked off Heaven's birthday festivities  this weekend. I whipped up a few birthday crafts for Heaven's birthday party later this month & a special birthday shirt for school tomorrow. She's going to have some friends sleep over this weekend in honor of her first double digit birthday...but it's not going to be a "party"just s hang out . We're doing her actual party late because she wants to invite her Girl Scout troop girls and their first meeting is this week, so we needed to give them enough time to plan on attending.

Tonight we did some pre celebrating with Disney Trivia at Mellow mushroom. We didn't win...(we actually didn't even come remotely close because it was super hard), but we had lots of fun just the same!

Crazy girls. Thank goodness we've got a few more years before they're behind the wheel!!
Speaking of Birthday's....Happy Birthday to Uncle Irv!!!  We love you!!

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
