Niner

Heaven was blessed with some gorgeous weather on her 9th birthday. Since her Birthday fell on a weekend day, she will get to wear her birthday shirt to school tomorrow. Due to a child in her class having a peanut allergy, we're not doing treats for her class like we usually do.  Me & John are going to check her out for a special birthday lunch instead.
Today we went to church, delivered some Grandparents Day goodies, and headed out to the beach per Heaven's request. The kiddo's swam for a bit, and then we headed to dinner at Heaven's choice of Peg Leg Pete's.  Definitely one of my favorites too! The kids had a great time, and Heaven was SO excited because the band played her Happy Birthday.

Annabelle made sure to ask the waiter about Heaven's free birthday dessert :)

We're planning her actual Birthday Party for the last weekend of the month, after Me & John get back from our cruise. She's been planning since Christmas....So It should be a good time!!

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
