Seeing Blue.

Too Cool For Summer
Saturday morning me and some of my favorite girls loaded up and headed to the ARC Blueberry Bash. The girls had such a good time. There were games, crafts, horse back rides,a petting zoo,  blueberries galore & snow cones!!  It was insanely hot, so the snow cones were especially appreciated!

Much to my displeasure, Annabelle toted this chicken around for like 10 minutes.

We'd planned on picking blueberries at festival, but it was so crowded and the trees looked pretty picked over, so we decided to head to Lundy's Blueberry & Pecan Farm instead. Though it was MISERABLY hot, in just under 30 minutes, we picked over 5 pounds of blueberries!

Now the big question is what do we do with 5 pounds of blueberries....We'll probably do a repeat of last year, and make some Delicious Jam one of these weekends soon!

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
