And now. Pictures.

I'm now suffering from exhaustion due to my recap of a month of events in mere hours. That being said....enjoy  few photos of some things that happened, that I have no intention of elaborating on. Team Brandt & Team Johnson went to see "The Croods". Success. Gavin laughed so hard his shoe flew off mid movie. True Story We have some seriously cheese ball kids.  Pretty much, we had a photo shoot at the theater.  Also, I achieved Gold status with Starbucks. If you're not as excited as I am about this sad fact, Congrats....I'm way more excited about it than is socially acceptable.  Basically, I should stop spending money at Starbucks. Visited ND. Still Cold...but absolutely Gorgeous. Bayleigh developed a cat complex. Kinda weirds me out. Her face is judgmental like a cat though, so maybe it's a  sign.

Bears Warnings. No seriously...BEAR WARNINGS

The Brandt Fam has a new favorite camp spot. Bear Lake. There scenery is beautiful, it's much less crowded, there are several different trails nearby you can hike, and there is lake nearby where you can fish. The only drawback it would seem are bears. Actual bears. Both times that we have camped this month, we were greated with a ranger and a bear warning flier. Not cool. Of course the Brandt bunch is so crazy loud tough...that the bears haven't risked showing themsleves in our presence. Lucky for the Bears. The bear in the flier was not nearly this cute. Also, sometimes we bring our own "killer" with us. Bears are scared of Puggles. Didn't you know?                You know something that's really important to look into when you're camping? Weather. When the weatherman says it's going to be cold...you should assume he is an expert in his field of work and believe him. When the weatherman issues a freeze warning and tells yo

Stike'n Out

This is how I feel when I'm bowling & get a strike.  While our favorite Missourians were in town a few weeks back, we borrowed the mini's and went on a bowling outing. Let me get the most exciting news out of the way first...I got two strikes over the course of the evening. Yes, John got like a billion strikes   but that's not important  which is great, and also I was beaten by most of the kids which is also not important  but good times were had by all. We've decided that our Missourians need to just buck up and move back to Florida. Don't think humidity...think Beaches & No Snow.  Sissies

March 10

On March 10, 2013 Heaven gained a new Angel. Junior Drinkard 10/22/25-03/10/13                 Even when you're prepared, you're not. Over the past several months we'd all seen a gradual decline in Paw Paw's health. In fall of 2011, he was admitted to the hospital for a severe hernia unexpectedly and was never able to return home. At the time,  he was 85, so it's not like he had just been skipping around or anything, but he lived independently, he drove, he piddled around in the yard...for the most part, he was pretty active. Well, active for an 85 year old.  We celebrated his 86th birthday at the hospital, and then his 87th at the nursing home. Paw Paw was in the hospital on and off a few times over the last year, most recently last winter, right before Christmas and then again earlier this month. The change between the two visits was startling. Gone was the man I knew, replaced with someone ready to be reunited with his beloved wife & Savior. We h

One Box? Please.

In my blogging absence. We've spent a lot of time pedaling cookies. The infamous, Girl Scout Cookies of course.  I think the girls ended up selling about 150ish boxes or so total this year, not too shabby. Plus we worked cookie booths on the weekend and racked in a good bit of cookies for our troop. Of course we did need a few boxes for home as well.....which basically means one of each kind. Except the plain ones. Who eats the plain ones??           The girls also had World Thinking Day. This year their country was Germany. Our booth had "Real Authentic Root beer" AKA Mug Root beer & German Chocolate Cake....both of which, I'm pretty sure aren't German...but kids don't eat Sauerkraut & Bratwurst (also, they're too young for real beer). Turns out, Kids don't really eat foreign food...or at least the Mini Brandt's don't. Most of the other booths had gone with a similar game plan. They look a little like Pirat
