Nifty.

I present to you, Heaven...Master of States Apologies for the crazy eyes. Apparently the Iphone video has a light of some sort for filming in dim light. #whoknew

Honor Roll

HB on stage receiving her award  I can't believe another school year is already winding down.  Today was the 3rd grade award ceremony  at PRE. Heaven received an award for A/B Honor Roll thru out the year. She was very proud...and so were we!  Best Friends!

Awana Kidz

Another year of Awana is behind us! The mini Brandts had their Awana awards this week & they did wonderfully! They performed their Awana song for the crowd before receiving their awards. I didn't get the song, but I did record the kiddos getting their awards. The video is below and starts right AFTER (of course) Annabelle's name was called. Annabelle is a "Spark" while Heaven and Gavin are both in "T & T" now.  Annabelle is in the white and orange right as the video is starting. In retrospect, I probably should have only recorded each of them specifically getting their award as this video is quite long.... I should really invest in a video camera...Iphones are not made for filming...  Annabelle received a special award for finishing two books this year, which takes a lot of work! The program is set up for each child to finish around 1 book per year.

Destin Dynasty

We planned to spend some time at Munson Lake this weekend cooking out and swimming, but apparently our secret plans got leaked and several hundred people wanted to join us. Can you believe on a holiday weekend with beautiful clear skies that other people could also want to enjoy the outdoors? Me neither, it was clearly some sort of a conspiracy.                     So after several hours of enjoying each other's company at home (which of course translates into after we tired of threatening the children, hearing them complain of boredom, endless requests to go to ludicrous places like Chuckie Cheese...) we decided to take a trip to Destin for the evening.                    We spent a little time shopping at the commons. The kids especially enjoyed Bass Pro. They have a full Duck Dynasty line which the girls love. They are Duck Dynasty experts and have seen each episode at least 5 times.                         When we'd shopped all w

Show'n Off

The girls got some rock'n trophy's for their hard work this softball season!

Cheers

The Pelican's season came to a close tonight. It's been a great season and the girls have improved so much!! Tomorrow night is our award's ceremony but we had some very special guests in the crowd at tonights game!! The Johnson's came to cheer us on in addition to Grandma, Bubs & Nana P. Though we didn't pull out a victory in our final game, we felt a little La Ha was definitely just what we needed to finish the season off right!

Get Your Art On

This weekend me and by BABY SISTER (who is now in freaking College...I'm a billion)  had a mini bonding sesh at  Painting with a Twist .  Though there were certainly moments of fear, I'm pretty pleased with our final results! I'm very grateful to have 2 of my 3 younger sisters home for Summer! ( Sorry Casey, you don't count. If I have to be considered "old" I'm bringing you down with me) Looking pretty dim... 3 Hrs later, a Masterpiece is born!

Victory Claimed

Make that 2 wins for the season!!

Game Ball

Both Brandito Ladies were awarded the game ball this week during separate games. Just a few more games to go until our 2013 season comes to a close. We've got one win under our belt and we're hoping for a few more before the season ends! Super proud of my girls!!

Madre.

Not flesh of my flesh, nor bone of my bone, but still miraculously my own. Never forget for a single minute you didn't grow under my heart but in it. Fleur Conkling Heyliger. Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms, Stepmoms, Adoptive Moms & Momma Role Models out there! I hope you all had as wonderful day!! I want to especially wish my own Mom & Step Mom a wonderful Mothers Day! It is because of them, that I am who I am today.  My Mother is wonderful. Perfect even. Growing up, I never doubted her love for me for an instant. I also never doubted that she would absolutely knock me into next week for being disrespectful. She is exactly the Mother I hope to me. She is a strong, loving, kind woman who constantly shows others the love of Jesus thru her actions. But she is not to be trifled with. I love her with all of my heart.  Though we didn't always see eye to eye growing up, it is because of her that I opened myself to the possibility o

The Smallest Dinner Guest

We have a very special dinner guests at the Brandt house this week, Miss Paisley & her Parentals, Amy & Justin. The Branditios could not wait to get their hands on Miss P (with the exception of me of course...because I do not hold babies..Seriously). With careful instruction from Mrs. Amy & Mr. Justin  each of the Brandito's took their turn with Paisley. They all REALLY didn't want to give her up! Both Heaven and Annabelle are already making big plans for babysitting....in a few years that is.

Thirty Four

Another year down for JB! Much like  last year  we celebrated with a little La Hacienda for dinner followed by some cake and candles  once the kids returned from church.  We were a little short on candles. Plus...we didn't want to risk a house fire with all those mini flames.

Hang 10.

Nothing much to report. Just hanging around basking in our awesomeness. If you're not familiar with Kid President, you should be. Check it out, HERE!

If At First You Don't Succeed....

We're on the downhill slope of our softball season, and the Pelicans are still fighting hard for their first win.  Here are a few quick clips of the girls hitting at their most recent game. We may not have won, but we're certainly getting better! Be warned, there are some pretty excited fans!          Both girls successfully made it to first!! No one could have been more excited to be cheering than Gav. Just kidding of course, but he did score some Skittles, so he survived.
