Garnet & Gold

Just a quick pre-game day update to say GO NOLES!! Not the best glamor shots pose, but we were at a red light  on the way to school and running on limited time. Not late, persay...just you know...a lil behind. But, I thought I'd better post my FSU pride photo before the Oklahoma game this weekend, you know...just in case. It's been a good week thus far. We've knocked out a few more soccer practices with one more this afternoon. If you haven't recieved a schedule, and you'd like one, please let me know. Games kick off next week and the girls are going to get a little extra practice time before then with Auntie Mikey.  We pick up John tonight from the airport & we're all very excited to have him  back home in Florida. It's been a busy 2 weeks for the Brandt bunch! Off to work I go, Happy Friday. TGIF!

A Hula, A Hula, A Hula, A Hula

See ya 7...Hello there 8!! We celebrated Heaven's 8th Birthday today with Hula Party at Nana's house. A wonderful time was had by all. While the ladies mastered the hula, the gentlemen preferred to skip this activity and stick with the pool & slip-n-slide. Micah enjoying the pool Hula Princess Lil Mermaids Crazy Hair! Nat show'n off her Luau look We had Hula Cake, Beach Cupcakes, Sundaes & Shark Fin Punch to snack on. While on a sugar high, the kiddos went on treasure hunt to locate the hidden pinata stolen by the evil pirate...AKA Papa. I was concerned the kids would have a hard time finding the clues, but it actually turned out to be the highlight of the party and when we were done several kids ask if we could hide something else so they could find it.When the pinata would not give the goods to the kiddos, we resulted to just ripping it apart. This method did not result in any complaints from the candy seekers. The Hula

OMG...I think I totally just saw Mia Hamm

Soccer Practice kicked off this week. The Brandtito girls are on "The Heat" which is an appropriate name for children playing soccer this time of year in the Panhandle. I was a little nervous how my mini divas would be once they had to actually get out and play for more than 15 minutes but they both did great!  Heaven did really well making stops, while Annabelle was better at chasing the ball down.  They both say they want to be goalie, but I doubt either of them would actually enjoy it once soccer balls started flying in their direction. No game schedule yet, but once we  have them I'll pass along game times to anyone interested.
