The Candy. Oh. The Candy.

Halloween is upon us!! I dunno what's scarier...the kids faces in these photos...or the amount of candy they're going to enjoy tonight... HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Science Is Cool (ish)

Here's a quick pic of Gavin's 5th Grade Science Fair project this year! He did a study of Popcorn (right up his alley) to see which brand of pop corn kernels had the highest rate of popping in our popcorn popper. He did all the research himself, but Dad helped him input it into the computer to make the graph charts and I helped him with the decoration (because there's no chance I'm letting an of our kids loose with a glue gun). He made a 100 on his project & learned a thing or two along the way as well. Pop Secret was the winner...just in case you were curious.

Brownie Be Gone

Take a good look, this is the last photo of Heaven Brandt as a Brownie Girl Scout!! As of this evening, she is an official JUNIOR Girl Scout!! The older girls took part in the "Bridging" ceremony  at this weeks meeting and once again we are a split troop.  The girls are just fine with that, and both our Juniors and Brownies are eager to get started on earning some badges for this year! The troop's first "Camp Out" is next Friday & they are also tentatively planning a weekend get away this year.  And of course.. .there are always the cookies ... Heaven getting "sashed" Troop 418 Junior Scouts Heaven showing her Bridging certifcate The bunch!

Cruise'n...

Here's a quick photo summary of our cruise. It was so wonderful....and I was very sad to get back to reality. I think we may have to add "room service" and "folding towel animals" to the kids chore board... We started our vacation in Orlando with a visit to Universal's Island of Adventure theme park. We were especially excited about the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" section hence the shirts.. First group cruise shot! I love our travel agent :) She always gives up free champagne! Fancy night on the cruise Nassau Fruity drinks in coconuts There were SO MANY STINGRAYS in the water at Little Stirrup Cay! The best dessert in the the whole wide world that has ever been created on earth. Ever.  One of the reasons I'm loyal to Carnival. Seriously. (Also because it's cheap...) Enjoying a sunrise on our balcony Paradise Cove, Freeport Sunrise over Nassau We finished our vacation with a vis

GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHE DID IT!!! Annabelle is officially a goal scoring machine!!! Scoring not only once, but TWICE in Thursday nights soccer game, she secured their teams 6-4 victory!  The next Mia Hamm is in the works for sure!

Funky Town

My Dancing Queen & My Far Out Hippy Thursday evening SSDI held their first Family Night for the year. Similar to PRE's Pow Wow, the event provided loads of games, food and fun for the children and family of SSDI students. The theme of the night was "Disco"...which the girls numerously confused with "The 80's". I found extreme offense in this mix up.  The students have worked very hard  learning a number of "Disco" dances. They took turn performing by age group and even GAVIN GOT HIS DANCE ON!! Gavin was a dance "leader" and danced ON STAGE in front of the group!! My heart exploded for him. Annabelle Heaven I shot a few videos of their performances too.... Here's Heaven :) You can see when she realizes she's being recorded and turns the charm on...  There's no audio on this one, but Annabelle took her dancing very seriously....  Here's Ga
