Well, Well, Well...

Heaven Tonight we played Aunt Mikey's team...the Jays...we may have lost the game...but both girls were hitting machines :) Annabelle got her first game day hit!! Heaven Annabelle heading to first Annabelle rounding home plate! This is the Hitter smile :) Smiling Faces The Girls & Gav!  We celebrated the excellent hitting of both girls with a celebration dinner at Texas Roadhouse (girls choice)

Trolls, Bears, & Ghosts

We took a quick camping trip to Adventures Unlimited this weekend due to the beautiful weather we'd been having. I've been promising to let Ava join us on a trip and this seemed like a good weekend to try it out. She's a good bit younger than the girls and often gets home sick when she's away. Needless to say I was a little nervous as to how she would react in the woods at night...especially since John mentioned all her most feared creatures within 2 hrs of being their...Trolls, Bears & Ghosts. All things that probably have never come up in a conversation between them ever... Twirps Gavin showing off his muscles... Ladies Smores. I forgot the graham crackers...which was A-Okay by all the minis. Boo enjoying breakfast Gav Swimming in the creek. Notice Gavin adventuring in the background. I was WAY to cold to get that far in! She made it just the same & we even had a camp break in by raccoons to liven up the night! The kids enjoyed sw

Hey Batter Batter....

The girls have started practice games for softball. So far their team is undefeated. Let me warn you. Their team is TOTALLY stacked. It's nuts. There are 3 players that are non returners from last year, and the Brandito girls are 2 of them. Needless to say they've got lots to learn, but so far, they are up to the challenge! Heaven has gotten 2 game hits so far & AB has made contact, but all her game hits have went foul. We've got plenty of time to practice though and the girls really seem to enjoy it. Heaven told us the other night that she has "found her sport". She also advised she no longer needed batting practice since she's gotten a few game hits. We've told her we're going to keep practicing...just in case. The Brandt girls both agree is the best part of softball is the team cheers. They have already learned  a billion...and enjoy chanting them when any situation calls for a good cheer. Gavin is not a fan of this. We don't have ou

Toes in the Sand

We spent the final day of Spring Break at the beach this weekend. Our first “REAL” family beach day of 2012 was a success. I spent most of by time laying out with my best friend of summer, my kindle…but the rest of the Brandtio’s enjoyed time in the water and sand. I ventured out to the sand bar just once…which was enough for me because contrary to the photos below, the water was FREEZING!!! We packed a picnic lunch and spent the day on the coast until the sun headed down. With John having surgery last week, and me working & wedding detailing with 2 of my best friends this week, the kiddos spent most of break with Grandma & Paw Paw (who they were very excited to see). They adventured to the Naval Aviation museum & to Navarre Beach as well as many ice cream trips around town. The girls also went fishing with Ava, Nana & Papa…which they thoroughly enjoyed (they keep asking when they are going back)!!   Overall I think they had a pretty good Spring Break…and finishing it

Spring Breakers

Spring Break is here!

Catch of the Day

Last weekend the lady Brandts went fishing with Nana & Papa. We’ve been planning to do a fishing trip for a while now, but life always seems to get in the way! The girls were thrilled and had a great time! Ava was spending the day with Nana & Papa also, so they declared it a girls only day….plus Papa of course!! Having only girls at home has earned Papa acceptance into the girls only club….luck for them because I’m pretty sure Nana wanted no part of de-fishing the poles… Heaven was the head fisher of the day with 7 big ones. Here are a few shots from Nana's phone! Catches of the Day Heaven...apparently suprised by her catch Annabelle show'n off her fish! No thanks Papa
