Toes in the Sand

We spent the final day of Spring Break at the beach this weekend. Our first “REAL” family beach day of 2012 was a success. I spent most of by time laying out with my best friend of summer, my kindle…but the rest of the Brandtio’s enjoyed time in the water and sand. I ventured out to the sand bar just once…which was enough for me because contrary to the photos below, the water was FREEZING!!! We packed a picnic lunch and spent the day on the coast until the sun headed down. With John having surgery last week, and me working & wedding detailing with 2 of my best friends this week, the kiddos spent most of break with Grandma & Paw Paw (who they were very excited to see). They adventured to the Naval Aviation museum & to Navarre Beach as well as many ice cream trips around town. The girls also went fishing with Ava, Nana & Papa…which they thoroughly enjoyed (they keep asking when they are going back)!!  Overall I think they had a pretty good Spring Break…and finishing it off with the beach and dinner at Oar House, is just what their parental units needed as well… They really should make Spring Break for the working world too…Maybe I’ll write Obama, and ask him to “change” that.

The Who's Who of Whoville

The girls had their church Christmas Program this weekend. They performed at both morning services and were equally amazing each time around! They've been practicing for the mast few months, and all their hard work most definitely paid off.

Can Do Kids

Check out these AWESOME mid terms!! All A'for Annabelle and A/B's for Gavin and Heaven!!! Dang these kids are smart! Clearly I'm wearing off in them.....

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
