A Hula, A Hula, A Hula, A Hula

See ya 7...Hello there 8!!
We celebrated Heaven's 8th Birthday today with Hula Party at Nana's house. A wonderful time was had by all. While the ladies mastered the hula, the gentlemen preferred to skip this activity and stick with the pool & slip-n-slide.

We had Hula Cake, Beach Cupcakes, Sundaes & Shark Fin Punch to snack on. While on a sugar high, the kiddos went on treasure hunt to locate the hidden pinata stolen by the evil pirate...AKA Papa. I was concerned the kids would have a hard time finding the clues, but it actually turned out to be the highlight of the party and when we were done several kids ask if we could hide something else so they could find it.When the pinata would not give the goods to the kiddos, we resulted to just ripping it apart. This method did not result in any complaints from the candy seekers.

Heaven got some awesome gifts and is going to start learning to ride WITHOUT training wheels next weekend!! No respectable 8 year old rides around on training wheels. Everyone knows that.

Blow'n out the candles!

Camping out under the table. Because that's what smart shade seekers do.

MONEY!

We have found the treasure. I repeat, we have FOUND THE TREASURE.

Forget it. Just rip it open.

I cannot handle anymore celebrating....until next weekend.

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

The Who's Who of Whoville

The girls had their church Christmas Program this weekend. They performed at both morning services and were equally amazing each time around! They've been practicing for the mast few months, and all their hard work most definitely paid off.
