The ATL- Day 3

Checking out the Sea Dragons
For our last & final day in Atlanta, we headed to the Georgia Aquarium. Myself & the girls had been before, but they've added several things since our last visits. The largest new addition is the Dolphin Tales show which is a mixture of the standard dolphin aquarium show & a theater production. We arrived right in time to catch the first show of the day. The girls LOVED it. Ava has just recently gotten back from a Disney Cruise where she got to swim with Dolphins so she was especially impressed.

Once the show was over, we headed off to explore the rest of the Aquarium. I didn't want us getting on the road TOO late, but we did manage to see everything except the 3d cartoon show. We allotted time to do it, but the girls opted for a little more time in the "kids" area, which was certainly fine by me.

 Ocean Voyagers!

Whale Shark!

Jellies

It was supposed to look like they were laying on the beach...
The only unimpressive thing we saw, was their new Frog Exhibit. Basically, they have about 100 different types of frogs in glass terariums....just hang'n out being frogs. And just an FYI frogs are boring and not cute. I definitely think they need to rethink the usage of this space.

Disgusting
The "kids" areas has 3 different touch pools which the girls thoroughly enjoyed!

Once we had seen all we could see we made our way out, which of course requires you to go thru the gift shop. I'd given the girls each a few dollars to spend OR save, so of course they bought stuffed animals. Because surely they need more of those.

Surely.

It was a pretty uneventful ride back, even with an extra passenger the girls were steller riders. We made a quick pit stop for dinner once we got out of the city and within about 15 minutes they were all sound asleep.

I think that's a sign of a pretty great weekend!!

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...

I've been madly back blogging today.
