Florida State Highlights

After working up an appetite at the circus (aka:leaving so late we were forced to go straight there and skip lunch) we headed to Momo's Pizza for a late lunch. Momo's claim to fame is "Pizza Slices As Big As Your Head". It's also crazy cheap, and thus a favorite for college students.

We told the girls if they finished their pizza, we'd get them dessert.

They were not victorious....

When we'd finished up, we headed back to the FSU campus to some a few of the "must sees". Namely DOAK & Wescott....the two most famous places at Florida State.

The Wescott Building & infamous Wescott Fountain

It's an FSU tradition to take a swim (usually an against your will swim) in the Wescott fountain on your 21st birthday.  Annabelle wanted to take a dip, but I told her she's still got 13 years before she'll be ready. She settled for rolling up her jeans and taking a stroll around the shallowest part for now.

Heaven was not interested

Look at her in her rolled up jeans & Tom like shoes looking like a little college hipster already!

Once we'd explored campus (aka gotten good and hot) we ventured to the mall in search of some FSU duds for the girls & then to see The Life of Pi at the theater. Both were big strike outs. In case you were wondering, Life of Pi is not a  kid movie...even with all the animals.

After dropping off Aunt KK we decided to call it a night and head to our hotel.  The hotel had an Applebees on the bottom floor that allowed you to order "room service" off their menu. The girls thought they were SO COOL (and I'll admit it was a major relief to eat in PJ's). We finished the evening with Milano cookies in bed (as I won't be washing those sheets) and a lil Disney Marathon on the tv.

It took about 20 minutes of tv for the girls to look like this;

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
