Making a List

The Brandtito children received a letter from Santa today.... they were thrilled

Because I know people, who know people....I was able to get my hands on a copy...

Dear Gavin, Heaven & Annabelle,

As you know, I have many, many children to watch this year. This note is to let you
know that I have designated a special "Magic Elf," whose job is to track & report the behavior
of boys and girls in your household. This elf will help me make the naughty and nice list, so
you can be sure this elf is will be watching you all closely. To be sure you make it on the nice
list, you must remember to follow the rules at school and at home. Sharing and talking nicely to
others is another great way to be sure your name stays on the nice list.

If the Magic Elf does not accompany this letter, rest assured she will make herself known
to you shortly. I strongly suggest that each member of the household commence good behavior
immediately, because she may show up at any time. Please remember to be gentle with the
Elf. Although your elf is magic, she is not a toy. You can talk to your elf (elves are very good
listeners) but you must not play with her. Too much handling will cause your elf to lose its
magic!!

Your elf will send me reports on your behavior at home & school. I have also just
received a copy of your report cards. GREAT JOB!! All A’s for Annabelle & A/B Honor Roll
for Gavin & Heaven!! Keep up your hard work! Your elf will send me reports on your school
grades as well as notes all notes sent home in your red school folders. Upon my arrival on
Christmas Eve, I will review the Magic Elf's final report and determine whether any and all gifts
shall be delivered as planned.

The Magic Elf I have chosen to keep an eye on the Brandt family this year’s name is
Elfie Sneakins, She is a very mischievous Elf and you can never guess the places she may show
up. Elfie may start observing your household at any time…and will explore your house from top
to bottom.

I know you have all been so good this year and I am really looking forward to seeing you
on Christmas Eve. Of course you won’t see me because you all will be fast asleep!! Christmas is
such a special time of year. I’m sure you know it’s not all about the presents. It’s about family,
and of course, celebrating the birth of Jesus!! I hope you are busy helping Mom & Dad get ready
for this very happy Season!

See you soon!

Santa

Survival.

5 Boys > 2 Parents Sanity I'm not sure how it happened exactly...but after several days of recuperation, it appears we have survived the boy filled weekend. It was loud, it was messy at times, and it was most definitely chaotic...but overall...I'd say it was a fairly successful weekend for Gavin's big 1-1. Friday night he had 4 friends spend the night & though I had a mini stroke over a legitimate offer to spray paint part of our outside storage area, the boys had a blast. Gavin is really hung up on  Guthrie's  right now so we started the evening out with Guthrie's for dinner & then John, begin the brave (insane) loaded all the boys up and took them to see Ice Age.  They returned home with plenty of energy to burn & spent the rest of the evening playing outside and having video game battles. Thanks to my saint of sister who kept the girls, it was a boys only zone, and was undoubtably outnumbered.  The next morning, though they were up VERY late,...

The Who's Who of Whoville

The girls had their church Christmas Program this weekend. They performed at both morning services and were equally amazing each time around! They've been practicing for the mast few months, and all their hard work most definitely paid off.

Mr. Brandt heads back tomorrow and it's time for the annual triple treat birthday party for Mr. B, Uncle Danny and Annabelle.  Katy made 2 delicious cakes for the event. The boys got their own green cake and Annabelle got her own special Mario Cake.  We had some delicious food and the Birthday people got lots of special prizes!  The UnBirthday Party was definitely a success!
