Celebrate Good Times

The Big 07.

Annabelle turns the big 0-7 this Tuesday 01/10 but in true Lady Brandt fashion the celebrating has already began J We always have a pre-party celebration while Mr. B & Kady are home at Christmas. This year Kady made Annabelle *THE CUTEST* magician cake. Annabelle loved it. Paw Paw got her a hamster named Happy (which thankfully requires batteries) which she has been happily driving the dogs nuts with. Much to her pleasure, of course.

Paw Paw show'n AB how Happy works

Today Annabelle got to choose our lunch location in honor of her birthday. She told me that since we can’t all eat together on her birthday, as she’ll be in school, it was only fair that she get to pick on Sunday before her Birthday. It seemed like sensible 7 year old logic to us. Beef O’Bradys was her choice. She said it was because they have the best Chicken and fries…though I expect it probably had more to do the arcade. Just the same she came home happy with a tummy full of chicken and a handful of new bouncy balls that she’s won. Because really, can you ever have enough bouncy balls?? I think not.

Don't worry, it's rootbeer

Survival.

5 Boys > 2 Parents Sanity I'm not sure how it happened exactly...but after several days of recuperation, it appears we have survived the boy filled weekend. It was loud, it was messy at times, and it was most definitely chaotic...but overall...I'd say it was a fairly successful weekend for Gavin's big 1-1. Friday night he had 4 friends spend the night & though I had a mini stroke over a legitimate offer to spray paint part of our outside storage area, the boys had a blast. Gavin is really hung up on  Guthrie's  right now so we started the evening out with Guthrie's for dinner & then John, begin the brave (insane) loaded all the boys up and took them to see Ice Age.  They returned home with plenty of energy to burn & spent the rest of the evening playing outside and having video game battles. Thanks to my saint of sister who kept the girls, it was a boys only zone, and was undoubtably outnumbered.  The next morning, though they were up VERY late,...

The Who's Who of Whoville

The girls had their church Christmas Program this weekend. They performed at both morning services and were equally amazing each time around! They've been practicing for the mast few months, and all their hard work most definitely paid off.

Birthday Bash Numero Uno

Pretend It's January 5th, 2013 It's Birthday Season here at the Brandito Lair! Mr. Brandt heads back tomorrow and it's time for the annual triple treat birthday party for Mr. B, Uncle Danny and Annabelle.  Katy made 2 delicious cakes for the event. The boys got their own green cake and Annabelle got her own special Mario Cake.  We had some delicious food and the Birthday people got lots of special prizes!  The UnBirthday Party was definitely a success!
