Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway.

Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness for yourself. Totally not the guy you'd expect to whip out a paintbrush, which make him all the more talented to me!
Heaven & Eric
Though the fellow mini Brandts enjoyed the outing, they were not as impressed by the art work. Not the booths and booths of one of a kind paintings, not the booth full of exquisite handmade metal works, not even the guy blowing glass (because really how hard can THAT be...It's like blowing thru a long straw per Annabelle). They were only interested in the promise. The promise that if they were super duper good, they would be rewarded with a festival food of their choice. Because everyone knows that festival food, is right up there with a  comfy clothes... and day with with festival food AND comfy clothes...that is just what we needed.

The Who's Who of Whoville

The girls had their church Christmas Program this weekend. They performed at both morning services and were equally amazing each time around! They've been practicing for the mast few months, and all their hard work most definitely paid off.

Can Do Kids

Check out these AWESOME mid terms!! All A'for Annabelle and A/B's for Gavin and Heaven!!! Dang these kids are smart! Clearly I'm wearing off in them.....

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
