Let the countdown begin.

This time tomorrow myself & the Lady Brandts will be heading to Atlanta to see Taylor Swift in concert!

The Lady Brandts received tickets for Christmas and have been eagerly counting down the days!! Myself included of course! Heaven & Gav had FCAT this week, so we've tried to keep the TSwift discussions at a minimum to avoid TOO much distraction at school. We will begin packing tonight and hopefully get on the road early tomorrow afternoon.

The actual concert is not until Friday evening, so the plan is to arrive late tomorrow night and spend the day Saturday finding the perfect outfits at the nearby mall, decorating posters & listening to the Taylor Swift cd collection until it's time for the show. Our seats are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY up, so we'll be packing binoculars with our gear as well. No seriously..like literal binoculars.

That is...assuming the Lady Brandts survive the car ride.Which, based on past car ride experiences is debatable.

The Lady Brandts will be spending the weekend in Atlanta & assuming they don't drive me totally bonkers before hand, we've got some pretty fun things planned!

Art in the Park

It has been a wonderfully rainy Saturday. We spent the majority of the day today holed up indoors in cozy clothes watching movies and trash TV. As a whole, it was blissful. Sure the kids were BORED ( I know, because they told me about 65 Bazillion times) but nothing beats a rainy afternoon movie marathon & an excuse to wear gym clothes all day long. Well...not much does anyway. Before the downpour started we ventured out to Art in the Park. Heaven was *so excited*. She loves art and was thrilled to have a chance to see "real" artwork and talk with some "real" artists ( I was a little offended she does not consider me a part of this "real" artist list...I mean, she's seen what I can do with some glitter glue). Mr. Eric Cobb was at the top of her list. He's been a Bestie of mine for years and is amazingly talented. If you're in the market for some palette knife artwork, you should check out his fabulousness  for yourself. Totally not the ...

Treaters

Here are the Branditos all ready to hit the streets trick or treating. We had a great time  & much to the kids pleasure came home with loads of candy. Of course their intake will be limited...but they haven't considered that just yet  (John already went through and claimed most of the kitkats) Gavin had trouble deciding exactly what he wanted to be this year. His top two picks, were Link from Zelda & a skeleton.  As you can see, in the end he decided on a skeleton. His costume was pretty cool & the bones were textured so you could feel them. The mask was short lived... thankfully... because honestly, it was a little scary... oh, and because it almost caused several accidents due to the limited visibility it provided. Heaven dressed as Abbey Bominable from Monster High. She's really into Monster High right now as I'm told it's very "cool" unfortunately her "cool" parents find most of the dolls a bit inappropriate, so really A...
