Golden Rule

It's HERE!!! THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS HERE!!
I'd like to introduce, the cutest kids walking thru the doors of Pea Ridge Elementary today!! *Warning* if you are sensitive to awesomeness, you'd might want to stop viewing now.

I'd also like to note that Gavin's hair is actually NOT as long as it appears & is not ACTUALLY in Beiber style somewhat blocking his vision...okay, that's not true it is...but we're getting him a haircut ASAP!

We started out the morning with breakfast at Chick-Fil-A...You know, for brain power....and chicken mini's. The girls chose their own back to school outfits, while Gavin chose to leave the decision up to me. Probably because he think's I'm so cool....yes, I'm sure that's it.

As you all know, we're very proud of being "cool parents" so we walked all the kids to their classrooms. Though they all insisted, this was not necessary...we thanked them for their thoughtfulness, and continued as planned.

Gavin forbid me from taking any photos of him AT school, so you'll have to trust me that he was very excited about his class. By that of course I mean, he was not excited at all...but he did talk to a few kiddo's in the hall on the way to his classroom...which for Gavin, is pretty much as lively as it gets. He has a black, grey & blue checkered backpack...which he settled on after about  2 seconds of browsing and was no longer interested in searching. He chose a Mario lunchbox in a similar fashion.

Heaven is rocking a pink, sparkled back pack with a jeweled peace sign that is surrounded by mini lights that light up when you move. I wonder how long that will take to get old....or run out of batteries...for now, she's thrilled. Unlike Gavin, it took her 3 stores, and about 2 hours of narrowing it down to settle on her choice. She also has a rock'n Pink lunchbox with her name on it, thanks to Aunt Casey!!

Annabelle selected a purple backpack this year. It's got cute lab puppies on the front, and like Heaven, her choice was throughly thought out. Though she did go back and forth, and back and forth between several other selections...she finally settled on the puppy backpack. Who can say no to puppies anyway. She also has a retro lunchbox personalized with her name thanks to Aunt Casey!!

Watch out PRE the Brandtito kids are back on the loose!!

Survival.

5 Boys > 2 Parents Sanity I'm not sure how it happened exactly...but after several days of recuperation, it appears we have survived the boy filled weekend. It was loud, it was messy at times, and it was most definitely chaotic...but overall...I'd say it was a fairly successful weekend for Gavin's big 1-1. Friday night he had 4 friends spend the night & though I had a mini stroke over a legitimate offer to spray paint part of our outside storage area, the boys had a blast. Gavin is really hung up on  Guthrie's  right now so we started the evening out with Guthrie's for dinner & then John, begin the brave (insane) loaded all the boys up and took them to see Ice Age.  They returned home with plenty of energy to burn & spent the rest of the evening playing outside and having video game battles. Thanks to my saint of sister who kept the girls, it was a boys only zone, and was undoubtably outnumbered.  The next morning, though they were up VERY late,...

The Who's Who of Whoville

The girls had their church Christmas Program this weekend. They performed at both morning services and were equally amazing each time around! They've been practicing for the mast few months, and all their hard work most definitely paid off.

Pretend It's January 5th, 2013 It's Birthday Season here at the Brandito Lair! Mr. Brandt heads back tomorrow and it's time for the annual triple treat birthday party for Mr. B, Uncle Danny and Annabelle.  Katy made 2 delicious cakes for the event. The boys got their own green cake and Annabelle got her own special Mario Cake.  We had some delicious food and the Birthday people got lots of special prizes!  The UnBirthday Party was definitely a success!
